Four CDs worth of AMT overload!?? Have they gone mad? No matter if you consider the collective's output to be overkill, there is always some golden moments found on each record. To me, one of the most incredible passages the group has ever committed to tape is found forty minutes into the first CD (each CD contains one hour-long song) when the track winds down into a pleasant delayed guitar melody. This little bridge only lasts for a few minutes, but if you ask me, this alone makes the whole box a worthwhile purchase! Fortunately for us, there are other sublime moments scattered across the four CDs. In fact, besides the third CD (What's You Name?), which I actually find quite annoying with it's stop/go dynamics, most of this box is worth listening to. The fourth CD (The Holly Mountain [...]) is a lovely hour-long ambient track which will definitely put you in a relaxed mood!
