I started to despair when Acid Mothers Temple started releasing albums on an almost daily basis, but when they started altering their name almost randomly as well, I gave up. Although my wallet is happy I did, the music collector in me is quite saddened when he realizes the huge amount of great music that he has missed on. As Acid Mothers Temple SWR, main man Makoto Kawabata and bassist Tsuyama Atsushi join forces with fellow countryman Yoshida Tatsuya of Ruins for some of the most demented psychedelic heavy psych known to man. This album is absolutely insane and chaotic, like early Boredoms jamming with a more prog rock version of Naked City! One new sound or riff after the other, changing pace, mood and noise levels every few seconds, it's hard to keep up! But this is also what makes this album fun. There have been many like it before, but with something so charged, it's difficult not to enjoy it in the long run. |
