Album Cover

With a cover photography like that, you can't help from being curious. Thankfully, the music within sounds just as deranged as you'd expect. This is like an electro-pop music composed by and for inmates of an asylum for the mentally unstable. Yes there's a beat in there to keep things groovy, but the harsh electronics feel like they could easily loosen your brain from your skull. Add to this a few, completely off-the-wall samples and bizarre bleeps and grunts and you've got a fairly adequate description of the chaos on display. The only thing which I believe is to the album's disadvantage is the heavy use of Chemical Bros.-like break beats which will probably prevent the album from ageing well and being anything else but a 1998 oddity. There are a few timeless classics here however: Sound Of Accelerating Concrete, King Wasp and the first installment of the The Black Regent series to name but a few.
