This is yet another of Airaksinen's meditation albums. The sounds on Inner Galaxies are both peaceful and playful. The way this album is laid out is very similar to Milk Sea, but the rhythmical tracks outnumber the ambient ones this time around (The Finder for example will probably have you pressing fast-forward). There's a very strong new age feel too many of these tracks, making this album sound inferior to Milk Sea. The 808 makes a welcome appearance on The Ship Which Travels On The Bottom Of The Sea reminding us of Airaksinen's Buddhas Of Golden Light period. There are a few tracks which left me scratching my head; JSSX and JSFF for example sound like classical compositions played on a synthesizer, had they been played with real instruments (harpsichord), maybe they could have sounded interesting, but they sound truly out of place on this album. I just don't get it.
