Two tracks, both approximately a half-hour long, of pure atmosphere. Like a long lost soundtrack to a strange Estonian experimental horror film from the sixties, it's probably one-of-a-kind. Bowed percussive instruments, guitars played with foreign objects, unidentified drones all surge and disappear in spontaneous fashion. Listening to this album on headphones or really loud on the stereo is the only way to do it in order to feel the full effect of the music. Sit back and abandon yourself to it and it will definitely make you react emotionally: it might scare or frighten you, it might overwhelm you, it might even make you laugh when it becomes too much, but it won't leave you indifferent. Anyone with an adventurous taste in music owes it to him or herself to hunt down this album and give it a spin. |
