Amon Düül II were never to make another Yeti, but this album is a damn good effort. The opening In The Glassgarden leads you to believe your in for one crazy ride once again, but things rapidly quiet down, only to become loud and heavy in parts. This is the only reproach I have, it just feels like it's all-over the place and it doesn't keep my attention as much as Yeti did. There is a nice use of electronics and some very Popol Vuh-esque voice-synth work at times. The many shorter tracks are usually the one's that rock the most; Dehypnotized Toothpaste, Little Tornadoes, The Flyweighted Five and Chewinggum Telegram are good examples. The eighteen-minute-long The Marilyn-Monroe-Memorial Church is the album's "experimental" jam. Quite good in general, has it's moments, but far from being my favorite. No bonus tracks on the Repertoire CD reissue this time.
