The group were really back in shape for this, their last truly great album. Surrounded By The Stars, the first track, is an absolute stunner. Incredible guitar riffs and Renate's vocals in a much lower register then usual make this into a very powerful song. Every time she howls "at sunrise" for the first time accompanied by the synthesized choir-vocals, the hair on my neck sticks out. It never fails. I don't believe there are any weak tracks on the album. Jail-House-Frog has another great riff and weird keyboard noodling. The title track is the most psychedelic thing they've done since Yeti. Wie Der Wind Am Ende Einer Strasse has an incredible electronic intro and then turns into a sweetly psychedelic jam. Very nice. Deutsch Nepal is another dark and brooding number with extensive use of the choir-synth vocals. This and Yeti are the two must-have albums by the group in my humble opinion.
