Album Cover

An early release from the great Lal Lal Lal label which is responsible for bringing a lot of the original music that was being made in Finland out into the world. Only one hundred copies of this cassette release was made. Nice but morbid cover art which goes hand in hand with the clattering music inside. This is tribal/psych/folk at it's basest form; it's loud, it's lo-fi, it sometimes sounds like the music to someone's execution at the gallows or no, something even more barbaric, a pagan ritual where the guilty is about to be drawn and quartered. Either that or a gang of blind witches and diseased trolls have decided to make a band and record something. You get the idea. Some of the atmosphere and imagery of Comus seems to have made it's way into The Anaksimandros' world; they don't sound anything alike, but the paganism aspect is very present. Bubbles In My Brain is a favorite of mine.
