Here's another of my favorite installments the Analord series. The opening Crying In Your Face is not only the EP's highlight, but also one of the better numbers in the complete set! Mixing danceable analog beats and melodies with weirder electro effects give the track a warm, psychedelic feel which will have you repeat the track a few times before moving on to the next. Moody and majestic, complex yet accessible; this number alone warrants the purchase of the EP. With such a powerful start, I expected the rest to pale in comparison, but Home Made Polysynth proved me wrong. This one is a beautifully off-beat number with strange background noises and a creepy melody that gives off a certain "haunted house" vibe. Halibut Acid is a slightly more standard track, but it would have been a sensation had it been released in 1991! The closing Breath March is a wonderful, if oddball track; bass heavy and brooding, it lunges at you like an angry animal.
