The whole Analord series might be a musical ode to all things analog, but none actually sound as if they actually date from the golden era of electronic dance music as much as this sixth installment. Although they clearly lead the listener back to this period, all Analord titles sounded fairly modern or included enough complexity to clearly distinguish them from truly older material... until now! Pretty much every track on Analord 6 sounds like it could have been released back in 1987 (if not earlier). Some of them even have a child-like, Perrey & Kingley-esque touch (Snivel Chew & Analoggins in particular - the latter sounding like an out-of-order 1983's arcade machine). I'm Self Employed is my personal favorite track on the EP as it reminds me of the more "innocent" numbers by Add N To X. 2 Analogue Talks is a really fucked up experimental/noise number which continuously changes shape throughout it's two minute length. One-of-a-kind stuff here!
