Yet another winner in the Analord series. The opening PWSteal.Ldpinch.D might be short, but it's my favorite off of the EP. Starting pretty straightforwardly enough with a simple four/four beat, layers of simple melodies are slowly added to one another to build up to a great kick in the face once the bass and main melody hit your ears. This is one of those dark techno masterpieces that would make me get off my ass and onto the dance floor if played at high volume. Backdoor.Berbew.Q and W32.Deadcode.A (you gotta love those titles!) are only slightly less interesting than the first track as they focus more on the alien nature of some of AFX' sound. My attention is caught once again with Backdoor.Spyboter.A, a wonderfully mellow tune with a groovy two-note melody. There is much more going on here than one might be led on to believe; be patient, the intricate details reveal themselves with time.
