To celebrate the tenth anniversary of AFX' highly sought after Hangable Auto Bulb series, Warp Records decided to put them all onto one convenient CD. These recordings have mid-nineties written all over it, and it includes all of the trademark breakbeats which made James famous. Another important fact about these releases is the humor, Children Talking is actually "laugh-out-loud" funny, only AFX could have dared to use such a strange sample for this type of music. Interesting to hear how similar these tracks are to what AFX has released more recently on the Analord series. All of these tracks are great, but it's the ones with vocal samples which stand out; in addition to the aforementioned track, Every Day also includes samples, but these are a lot more evocative and give the song a certain melancholic vibe. Beautiful song!
