Great cover art! It's absolutely ridiculous; unlike the music on this album. There is some serious group jamming on here; very harsh at times, and way out-there all the time! It's a shame this LP is out of print because it's a great place to start exploring Avarus (and the whole finnish underground scene for that matter!). The noise is kept under control throughout while melodies slowly shine through the mess and make this more "accessible" than other releases. The first side of the LP seems to be dedicated to the harsher, more rock oriented tunes of the group whereas the second side is (slightly) more oriented towards the smoother and more psychedelic side. The latter makes for great headphone listening. Comparisons to sister group Kemialliset Ystävät are inevitable, but I also hear a healthy dose of the dronier side of swedish legends Pärson Sound (Aivo Lappalainen).
