I would have loved to tackle the five different releases included on this double CD for themselves, but Tumult have made things a lot easier and convenient for me by collecting and releasing all these impossible to find works by Avarus on one release. No need to hunt them down anymore! The two first tracks are from the first release by the band and it's obvious these guys had their sound fully developed right from the get-go. The next twelve tracks are from the Horuksen [...] CD-R and present the folk-oriented and tribal side of Avarus (after a noisy start). The second CD starts with the two tracks from an early 7"; Sataa Nuuskaa is a highlight! Then comes two lengthy tracks. The first of these is from a tour only CD-R and is absolutely the noisiest thing the band has ever done! On A-V-P, my personal favorite track here, Avarus kick out the Pärson Sound jams yet again. Stunning!
