As beautiful as the looped melodies were on the first volume in the series, I find them even more stark and impressive on here, the second volume. The first track D|p 3 (all songs in this series are identified by dp and a number) starts off already sounding as if the loop was struggling. It is basically a single note swelling up and fading away over and over again as a distant drone plays in the background. You really get to here the tape falling apart as the song progresses, something you couldn't fully hear on the first volume. A very impressive track, but it is the second track here which captures all my attention. It is a such a beautiful yet simple melody that it is almost saddening to hear it slowly disintegrating as the over forty minute long number progresses. Beautiful work yet again!
