Here is where the true essence of the whole Disintegration Loops series comes to life. You really get to hear at what point these loops were falling apart on the twenty minute long D|p 4. Nine-minutes into the song, the tape becomes so damaged that long portions of the melody disappear, leaving way for grating static blasts of hiss and gristle. This also makes the song much less "soothing" (the other loops had a cozy quality to them which slowly fades away here). At about 18 minutes into the song, there is practically nothing left of the melody. The disintegration on the second track is much less evident and the melody is much more uplifting, making for a stark contrast with the first track. This third volumes remains the best example in the series. If you only want to get one of these works, this is the one (although, to me, these only work as a whole, with all four volumes counting as just one work).
