The final volume in Basinski's Disintegration Loops is no less beautiful and majestic then it's predecessors. D|p 6 is one of my favorite tracks from the whole series (along with D|p 3 from volume two), the looping melody is so incredibly powerful and evocative that I lose myself in it every time I play it. The last two tracks on this album are the continuation and end of the very first loop off of the first volume. You can finally hear the melody slowly swelling up and fading away as the track progresses and the analog tape breaks apart (something which you couldn't hear so well on the first volume) and conveniently ends the whole series on a "loop", inviting you to start the whole experience again. Stunning, otherworldly work here folks!
