Be Invisible Now!

Be Invisible Now! is a solo project by Italy's Marco Giotto. With an impressive background in guitar improv and hardcore, it's difficult to imagine what possessed Giotto to eventually change his sound so drastically for this project. It's hard to explain, but listening to this artist's work feels like having discovered by pure chance a long lost kosmische LP among less interesting albums, lost in a milk crate during a one-day yard sale. Early Tangerine Dream, Cluster and the wilder side of Switzerland's Brainticket immediately pop up to mind, but I can also hear the darker side of Angelo Badalamenti's work in there as well. Not unlike Expo '70 (with whom he has recently rightfully been matched for a split release), Be Invisible Now! is another force to be reckoned with in the recent post-retro-analog scene. Fans of spaced-out and fuzzy drones should not miss out on this.
