Jonas Bering

National Flag

Jonas Bering is a french producer of beat-oriented electronic music and has been recording for the famous german label Kompakt. His music is minimal yet danceable and fits perfectly among the other recording output by other artists from the label's roster. I have of course started listening to Jonas Bering's music after finding out that Kompakt was owned by Wolfgang Voigt (aka Gas). I was buying everything that came out on his label and Bering was one of the nicer surprises. Even though his music had the typical house beat in the background, there was something ambient and dub about the music which I really liked. Not exactly like the aforementioned Gas, but not too far off either.
