Volume two in Birchville Cat Motel's collection of rare and unreleased material finds the noise getting even harsher. Beekeeper and The Emperor Ascension for example are extremely high-pitched feedback and sinewave works which will have you believe your ears are ringing. Ouch! I'm personally more interested in Kneale's more ambient/drone work and there is plenty of it here as well. The two Invisible suites for example are basically a guitar drone playing along with the manipulated sounds of a vacuum cleaner and a washing machine! The resulting tunes are wonderful dark ambient exercises which are worth the price of admission alone. Wet Crimson Eternity is also a short weird-out number worth checking out. Toy instruments make an early appear on the incredible North Slope Tundra. Only one "hidden track" this time. A great collection which I consider to be the best of the three.
