Album Cover

This album seems to be a collection of BCM's world-music-influenced work. Five long tracks in all (the shortest clocking in at over nine minutes). The drone doesn't play as big a role in these songs compared to other works, the focus is definitely put on Kneale's collection of weird ethnic (sounding) instruments. Tracks two and three for example (all are untitled) sound like a bunch of aboriginals performing ceremonial music of the creepiest kind after having ingested the hallucinogenic roots of a rare local plant, pre-chewed by young virgins after having sacrificed a small defenseless animal (of the furry kind). Or maybe this is just the fictitious soundtrack to Carlos Castaneda's The Teachings of Don Juan series of books which finds the author exploring shamanism and psychedelic drugs (the title would make a lot of sense if this were true!). A quiet album compared to other works by the artist.
