It's with this album that I started losing interest in Björk's career. Not that this album is not good, but I find it much less interesting than her studio albums. I was a huge fan of both her and director Lars Von Trier at the time, but I found the film to be manipulative melodramatic tripe and the music, even though it had it's purpose in the film, way too cutesy for it's own good. I missed the electro-fuckery and the seductively passionate vocals. So hearing the icelandic star yelp "pazang-blap-pow-kaboo" over layers of buttery symphonic orchestration really didn't do it for me. Only Scatterheart, with it's glitchy beats and bass heavy sounds is of true interest for me, but even it fails to keep my attention throughout because of the lame chorus. I'm happy this album is a part of the box set, but I strongly doubt I will ever listen to it again. Thank God she rapidly moved on to much better things after this one.
