These guys were on fire! Three classic albums within two years! They could do no wrong. Once again, this album starts with one of the most easily recognizable guitar riffs in the history of rock on Sweet Leaf. It's so freakin' heavy it's unbelievable, even compared to recent metal bands. Many have been inspired, but no one has yet recreated the sheer power of this band with the same simplicity (except maybe The Ramones, but in a very different way!). Then you've got Children Of The Grave, the future of metal in five minutes! All of Slayer's career is basically a hyper-fast version of this song with variations (I love Slayer! Go away!). There are a few softer songs in between with this prog-vibe to them, not so fond of those, but who am I to judge when I prefer songs like... Into The Void! What better way to end such a monster of an album than by cranking up the heavy dial to eleven!
