It took four years for Boards Of Canada to release a proper album after the classic Music Has The Right To Children. The expectations were incredibly high. I don't believe anyone was disappointed. They used the same mold used on Music, a short intro followed by longer songs and interspersed by shorter tracks. This time however, the music was much darker. The claims of subliminal messages sound much more plausible with this album. Allusions to the devil and the occult are everywhere, from track titles to the total running time of the CD (66min. 6sec.!). Have BoC sold their souls to the devil in order to be able to create such incredible music? Who knows (check out The Devil In The Details... creepy!). Regardless, I can't say Geogaddi is on par with Music, but it definitely holds up on it's own. The title apparently refers to the song Keoaddi There by The Incredible String Band.
