This album has taken such a huge role in my life that it is hard to describe. It was my own personal soundtrack for several years and I have listened to it literally thousands of times. Yet, I still don't know it inside-out. There is so much going on here, the details only start revealing themselves gradually and new ideas and thoughts pop up at every listen, even today. Rue The Whirl was the first song to get my attention, but then others became favorites: like the psychedelic Aquarius or the anguish-filled Telephasic Workshop. Soon enough however, the whole album became an entity for me, including the short "fillers"; the album made sense only when listened to in it's entirety. Each time I hear the first analog tones of Wildlife Analysis, I know I'm about to embark on an incredible mental journey for the next hour or so. This is easily one of my top five albums of all time. An absolute must! Not owning it is considered a sacrilege in some circles. |
