Album Cover

This is the earliest available release by Boards Of Canada. It was first available on vinyl only through their own Music 70 label in very limited quantities. One copy has famously sold for over 700 pounds sterling on eBay!!! Probably because of this, the artists have re-released it on CD through Warp. As is typical with BoC, some of the tracks on this offering show up in slightly different forms on other releases while other tracks are exclusive. I prefer this album to Hi Scores, which also includes other early material by the group, simply because I feel it to be closer in spirit to their masterpiece Music Has The Right To Children. The first two tracks, Sixtyniner and Oirectine, are the album's highlights. Basefree is quite an aggressive track beat-wise, something we won't hear again before the release of Geogaddi.
