If you, like me, can't stand high pitched noises, you'll probably want to skip the first track (Noise Ramones) off of Boredoms' third full-length record. I've never owned this record before now and the first thing that came to mind when I went through it the first time was that THIS is what South Park's fictitious band Timmy And The Lords Of The Underworld would actually sound like if they existed. Pop Tatari is a great example of Boredoms' early ADD punk noise in a blender aesthetic. I would understand why many people would run away terrified by this album, heck even I was caught off guard when I first heard this band opening for Nirvana when I was 15! No two seconds are alike, each song is stop & go noise madness where everything is permitted once, but never twice. It's an insane musical experience, but it's also a fucking riot to hear! This is the perfect album to pop into your stereo whenever you're feeling down. Press shuffle and smile!
