Easily the best release in the Boredom's ongoing Super Roots series, which is saying a lot, this fifth installment is one single hour-long track entitled Go!!!!! (emphasis on the exclamation marks). It all starts off calmly enough as washes of cymbals slowly fade in and out of the background as bizarre vocal effects come to us fizzing and bubbling from all sides. Once we reach the five-minute mark however, things abruptly shift gear into the equivalent of crashing into a wall at the speed of sound. Not that I wish anyone to experience this in real life, but it's pretty ecstatic on record. There is so much going on throughout the piece at the same time that it comes off as this one long, ominous drone with strong psychedelic touches. Things do calm down slightly during certain parts, but never enough make any sense out of what is going on. This is a dizzying attack on the senses, you must abandon yourself to it in order to appreciate it to the fullest. Stunning!
