Boris' first album Absolutego might have been one the heaviest tracks ever recorded, but Amplifier Worship is a close second, and you get to skip all that feedback. This means, more songs for your buck. Don't get me wrong, I love Absolutego, but I've always preferred this album because it simply "rocks" more. Well, that's if you consider doom metal to be rock. The first track Huge is like a miniature version of Absolutego, as heavy, as slow, but nine minutes instead of a whole hour. Vomitself is another similar track. Kuruimizo is a Melvins-esque song which becomes practically silent five minutes into it; suddenly sounding more like Godspeed You! Black Emperor then Earth! This would however be a hint at later records. Probably my favorite record by the band, I managed to track down the Southern Lord edition which included a real gummy worm candy stuck within the green tinted jewel case.
