This sounds interesting! The liner notes explain that the two CDs on this album should be listened to simultaneously, with one CD being drone only, the other sludge-metal. Think of the possibilities! I would love to hear these two together, but alas, that is not to be (for now anyway!). If I focus on each CD individually, you get pretty much what was advertised. The "drone" CD is just that. Really nice, dark ambient music on guitar and bass if you are interested in this kind of stuff, but if you can't play both and you like Boris, chances are you are after the second "evil" CD; and it's probably the darkest, most earth-shattering music they've put out since their first two albums! Dronevil was first available on vinyl "only", but in true Boris fashion, it was later re-released with two extra (and amazing) songs on this CD version. Comes with incredibly beautiful artwork. When will we ever learn?
