This third collaboration with Merzbow and Boris is so much better than their 04092001. There is some obvious extra work on the composition department. It all starts off slow (it is just over an hour long!) with the noise gently making it's way into the very slow acoustic guitar melodies at about eleven minutes into the song. At the eighteen minute mark, the song suddenly becomes a drone (although you would have to pay close attention to notice this change). From this point on, the song resembles Boris' first release Absolutego, but with the added static noise, this is even more interesting to listen to in it's own right. Things only get noisier as things progress, and you can actually feel both artists involvement; the heavy guitar drones of Boris and the harsh noises of Merzbow, but both go hand-in-hand and never distract. You'll be in trance throughout, the fifteen minute outro providing closure to a difficult trip.
