In the beginning, Boris created the drone and the riff. Now the riff was formless and slow, darkness was over the surface of the grooves, and the Spirit of Boris was hovering over it's frequencies. And Boris said, "Let there be Vein", and there was Vein. Boris saw that Vein was good, and he separated them in two: the riff and the drone. But then Boris got mixed up and called both the riff and the drone Vein and much pandemonium ensued. On this European edition of the album, Boris give us the drone and it sure sounds like Armageddon. From the very first second to the last, we are thrown head first into the Great Wall Of Static Noise (which can be heard from the Moon). Oh there are some riffs deeeeeeeep down within the surface, but these are so slow and painful they make Absolutego sound like the Teddy Bear's Picnic. Side two includes hardcore punk drums to make sense out of this primitive pagan sludge. Only 400 copies of this one exist. |
