If there ever was a Bowie album that really fit my own musical tastes, it's this one. The most fucked up album he's ever made if you ask me. Just listen to the macabre opening track Future Legend and you'll understand. There's just something "sick" and twisted about this whole concept album (in the same way Bowie looks "sick" on the cover art!). Even during the opening riff of the title track, the guitar sounds thin and queasy, thus giving the song a bizarre edge. There are some more rocking moments like the classic Rebel Rebel, probably the best known track on here. Two songs are devoted to George Orwell and the album ends with my absolute favorite Bowie song ever. Chant Of The Ever Circling Skeletal Family not only has the most cryptic title, but the music is so fucked-up and incredible I usually have it on repeat, tapping my feet along the way and I only stop it once I've had enough.
