This is the album which made me fall in love with Brainticket. I had already heard their debut four years prior to this, but I decided to get it when I found it on sale in a mainstream store. The first time I put the album on, I was mystified. This album had it all, it was experimental, funky, completely fucked up and fun. A song could go from peaceful and pastoral one second to full-on strange and exotic the next (Rainbow). The album's highlight however is undoubtedly Era Of Technology. There's so much going on at the same time it's difficult to take in everything in one listen. Is that the manual to some audio gear they are reading in different languages over that relentless tribal beat? Wonderful! And what a beautifully strange outro, the guitar melody is great and it comes complete with soprano male voice and recorder. There are so many more surprises in store I wouldn't want to ruin it for anyone! Go get!
