This meeting of like-minded and similarly named artists has produced something that is even beyond my expectations. Both are masters of drone music and although I do hear a bit more of Birchville Cat Motel's (Campbell Kneale's) tendency to hold a note endlessly instead of having many instruments creating this drone, this is some beautiful music nonetheless. If I didn't know who were the masterminds behind this release I could easily have guessed it was either one of these two artists, depending on which tune was playing. It is also much less abrasive then I would have thought; plenty of toy piano, chiming bells and low rumbles to create a wonderful atmosphere of enlightenment. I must say I prefer the shorter, more ambient tracks to the longer, slightly more aggressive ones. Neon Valley Christmas Tree, Blossom Bull and Pink Yodel are some of the album's highlights.
