When I put this album on for the first time, my immediate thoughts were that I had stumbled upon some Pete Namlook ambient track. 1/2 is definitely as out there and celestial as any of Namlook's planetarium soundtracks; long drawn out drones that sound like the energy from unstable magnetic fields way out among the stars being transcoded and played in your speakers. The drone only gets louder and louder as the piece progresses, yet it never becomes overwhelming, in fact it becomes soothing and hypnotizing. One could probably meditate and let the mind roam free while listening to this; and enjoy all the bizarre imagery that flashes rapidly through one's head the deeper we venture into these soundscapes. As lovely as the first track was, 2/2 is the sound of floating in deep space as the body's structure dematerializes and mixes with the vast emptiness to spread across the universe for eternity. No I'm not on drugs, this is as trippy as it sounds.
