This early Circle shows signs of hope, but also a lot of the obnoxious obsessions with progrock. The album isn't anything great, but it does have it's moments. This strange necessity to sound grandiose at any cost, typical of many scandinavian bands (Sigur Ros) makes the music sound pretentious and a false grandeur ensues. If it wasn't for their will to sound out of the ordinary, they would wind up like fellow finns Nightwish, the apotheosis of superficial grandiosity (I realize comparing Circle to Nightwish is a long shot, but then again, listen to Warszawa and get back to me). About the album: some (rare) haunting synth work on Brilliant Colours For Bright Ideas. In general, there is too much technicality on the album which leaves me indifferent, and if it wasn't for the experimental bits, like on O Entru I would have completely discarded this album.
