At this point, the noise was abandoned and replaced by sugary-sweet psych numbers. Using mostly synthesizers throughout, the album does sound dated compared to the group's earlier efforts, even though it is considered a classic in the genre. It all starts with the beautiful and moody Hollywood with it's delayed sounds and groovy brushed drums. Most other tracks sound like a cross between the electro-pop of Kraftwerk and the loungy (and cheesy) bits by Perrey-Kingsley (Rote Riki, Rosa and Rotor for example). I'm not too fond of these tunes if compared to the less electronic-sounding ones, but on their own, their really pleasant little numbers. My second favorite tune is James with it's twanging guitar vibratos. Heiße Lippen sounds remarkably like Sonnenschein from the first Harmonia album (a group consisting of both Moebius and Roedelius in addition to Michael Rother of Neu!).
