Album Cover

I thought this album had been unavailable for the longest of time, so when I found a copy on the net, I didn't hesitate one second to order it. It is still quite rare however, it's a japanese import which I had never even seen in stores anywhere and besides a few reviews on the net, there was not much information about it. The album is similar to other works like Moonyean and St. Vincent's Newsboy Home which switch from distorted tunes and softer, cleaner sounding songs. Each song is a little power house of passionate and emotional playing. The tone is quite gloomy but soulful throughout without ever sounding too alien or impenetrable as with Calloden Harvest. My favorites, as always, remain his quieter tunes like Angel Of The Wall or the fragile Tomorrow. It's a shame this album is only "available" as a high priced import because it's a great place to start discovering Connors' music.
