The first Cosmic Jokers album is, to me, the epitome of drugged-out space-jams. This just begs for you to experience it while in altered states, there's just no other way. By itself (and without the aid of "artificial paradises"), chances are you will still feel the reverb filled guitar solos joining forces with the haunting synth as they fool around with your synapses. My neurotransmitters got a good run for their money. II ccaann sseeee tthhrroouugghh ttiimmee!!!! The album is basically two tracks, both with their own subdivisions. Galactic Joke is three parts of brain-tweaking mental group improvisations (I believe) with the second part being the most aggressive. Cosmic Joy (hmm, great titles!) has only two parts, but is, in general a much quieter affair, bordering on ambient music. Only part two begins to drive off course at about six minutes in when the drums kick in. Too much for one brain, but a lovely trip!
