David Daniell

Precisely for the same reason I started listening to fellow San Agustin bandmate Andrew Burnes' work, I've started listening to the works of David Daniell. If it weren't for Table Of The Elements incredible Guitar series (twelve limited edition one-sided LPs devoted entirely to the instrument and how different artists approach it), I would probably never have even known about him. I have been familiar with San Agustin for a few years now, but this artist comvinced me that I need to actually buy some of their work. Unlike his partner, whose work focuses almost exclusively on drone, Daniell's efforts feel much more textured with a lovely pastoral vibe behind all the noise and static. Quite lovely! Fans of Tim Hecker and the likes should absolutely check this guy out.
