Double Leopards

Along with Wolf Eyes and, more recently, The Skaters, Double Leopards have established themselves as leaders in the whole drone/noise genre. Listening to Double Leopards is like listening to the Boston molasses disaster; the noise is thick, slow and deadly. No matter how loud and harsh the noise gets however, the music always has this blissful hue and the long tracks are moody and trance-inducing. Like many other bands from the US underground, the members of Double Leopards have a dumbfounding amount of side-projects, while they themselves are incredibly prolific.

I wasn't sure about Double Leopards at first, there was already so much to get that I decided concentrating on other bands. I finally decided to download a few mp3s to check out what all the fuss was about. After downloading Urban Concussion and giving it a thorough listen, I knew this was something for me, and Double Leopards became another band name on my list of things to collect, since then, I've managed to find a bunch of their recordings, but some remain quite difficult to find.
