Emtidi
Don't know much about this group of early psych-folk troubadours. Canadian-born singer, meets german musician in London, they move to Berlin and start recording. The music is psychedelic tinged folk music, very "hippy" sounding, but the weirdness gives it a certain edge. I only know of two albums by the band: their first eponymous album and Saat which is considered to be a little known folk masterpiece. The group split up when the singer moved back to Canada. I was hoping to find something similar to Witthüser & Westrupp in Emtidi, but even though they both have roots in traditional folk music, the comparisons end there.
