As much as I've had trouble with this album ever since I first heard it, I must admit that there are some very interesting parts hidden away within the thirty-five minute long record. I really have trouble mostly with the first track: Why Don't You Eat Carrots?. The arrhythmic melody combined with the cheesy guitar/sax riff and silly lyrics just irritate me more then anything. And that little triangle chime that pops up once in a while just drives me nuts! Things get better on the second and third track. The song keeps morphing every two seconds, the lyrics are still as bizarre, but the sounds are more interesting. On this track and Miss Fortune (the best song on the album) there are some strange heavily-accented vocal interactions between a few germans and a frenchman. Maybe I just don't "get" this album, but I feel I've tried everything and it's the one which stays the longest on the shelf in between plays.
