Paul Flaherty
I've been hearing about saxophonist Paul Flaherty ever since his numerous collaborations with drummer/boy wonder Chris Corsano. Although active in the underground ever since the seventies, it would take thirty years before he would garner more attention from the blossoming noise/experimental crowd. A regular with the whole Ecstatic Peace! gang, he has since collaborated with many artists from the label, releasing new albums at a typically frenetic pace (much like the whole noise, "underground" scene). I personally don't know much else about the man and I haven't even heard anything from him before his collaboration woth Sunburned Hand Of The Man: Unmuzzled Ox. Sadly, I now know how good he is and will have to add him to my list of stuff to get for my collection. My poor budget will certainly suffer for this!
