Kontakt Der Jünglinge

This is the series of live event collaborations by Thomas Köner and Asmus Tietchens. A meeting of two generations with similar ideas. Both artists are renowned for there work in minimal electronic soundscapes and the pairing of these two has garnered some incredible results. Although I am more familiar with the works of Köner and I can mostly hear his involvement in these recordings, Tietchens participation is not invisible and in fact manage to give a whole new dimension to the recordings. Yes, this sounds like drowning in an icy sea among blue whales. It's dark and it's cold... but absolutely mesmerizing and beautiful at the same time. The whole Kontakt Der Jünglinge is unfortunately discontinued now, but fans of drone should absolutely seek these out!
