Forget about getting a Best Of Kraftwerk album, all the hits are here (well not exactly, but most of them anyway). If you've heard of these guys in the first place, it's probably due to this album. The Robots, The Model and The Man Machine have been heard, done, redone, remixed, covered, transformed, destroyed, tenderized, soul-ified, metal-ized so many times you would have to have been hiding underneath mold for the last thirty years not to have heard it in one form or the other (Snakefinger and Seņor Coconut have both made worthy covers of some of these songs). As fun as all these tracks are, the album on a whole is far from my favorite Kraftwerk album (I like the weirder stuff remember!?). I purchased this because it was a defining moment in electronic and I respect it for just that. It belongs in any electronica fan's collection. It is the group's magnum opus for many fans of the band and the easiest point of entry for the curious.
