Future Björk producer Mark Bell and partner Gez Varley were one of the very first artists on internationally successful electronic label Warp Records' roster. The earliest material is quite dance oriented and minimal while the later solo-Bell material (who kept the name after the Varley's departure) is much more complex and deconstructed to fit in with the label's more experimental aesthetics. Besides having heard them on a few compilations, I have never been very familiar with LFO up until... well... today when I found a used copy of their comeback album Sheath for ten bucks! This is the first album in my attempt to find Warp Records' whole CD back catalog. Wish me luck!
