LSD March
The reviews surrounding this group's releases were so good that I just had to hear for myself. When your band name is taken from a song by german heavy-psych legends Guru Guru, you know you won't be getting your typical rock sound (japanese bands taking their name from other famous groups seems to be a trend as doom-meisters Boris have done exactly the same thing). These guys have really managed to tap into the whole seventies heavy psych sound. They've done their homework and it shows. A lot of their work sounds quite lazy and laidback at first... but when their songs get into freak-out mode and burst in your face, they will leave you in a stunned daze. Imagine Les Rallizes Denudes, but without the in-the-red distortion, LSD March work is much more approachable yet as intense. The perfect, late-night music when your alcohol (or illegal substance) buzz is wearing off and you are embarking on the long journey back down on Earth..
