Roy Montgomery

I don't know much about this underground guitarist from New Zealand except that he has been a part of the country's whole indie scene since the beginning over thirty years ago in different groups. I first heard of him for his collaboration with Flying Saucer Attack on the Goodbye EP. When I saw his name associated with the VHF label a few years later, I decided to download his albums off of emusic.com but only listened to them quickly at the time. I enjoyed it from the start but only decided to purchase them when I found a few of them used during my vacation in Montreal (from Sweden) back in 2005. The guitarist's work spans many different styles, some is quite noisy, but a lot of it is also quite meditative.
